Felafel - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz. or 450 g) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
    3 Tbsp. (25 g) unsweetened wheat germ
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tsp. (5 ml) ground cumin
    1 tsp. (5 ml) salt
    1/2 tsp. (2.5 ml) cayenne pepper
    1/2 tsp. (2.5 ml) black pepper
    1 egg
    oil (to fry in)
Preparation
    Mash chickpeas in a bowl with a potato masher.
    Add the next 6 ingredients and mix well.
    Form into 12 small patties.
    Heat about 1/2-inch (2 cm) oil in a skillet.
    Fry the felatel on both sides until brown and crispy.
    Drain on paper towels.
