Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. shortening
    6 cloves garlic, chopped
    1/2 c. diced onion
    1/4 c. bell pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    2 lb. peeled raw shrimp
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    3 bay leaves
    1 pkg. frozen okra
    1/2 pt. oysters with juice
    salt
    pepper
Preparation
    Mix flour and shortening in a pot.
    Stir over medium heat, making a roux.
    Add garlic; cook until golden brown.
    Add onion, bell pepper and celery.
    Cook until they are transparent.
    Add shrimp and tomato sauce and simmer 10 minutes.
    Stir in water and blend well.
