Cathy'S Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. ripe bananas, sliced
    1/3 c. cornstarch
    3 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 c. vanilla wafers
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and milk in a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
    Beat eggs lightly and add a little of the hot mixture to them.
    Blend well and pour into saucepan.
    Continue cooking, stirring constantly, for a few minutes; add butter and vanilla and blend well.
    Cover pudding and cool slightly.
    Arrange vanilla wafers along the bottom of casserole dish.
    Alternate with layers of banana slices and pudding, ending with pudding on top.
    Bake for 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
