Ingredients

1 can beets
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/4 c. liquid from beets
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch
1/4 c. vinegar
Preparation

Mix sugar and flour. Add liquid and boil until thick and shiny. Remove from heat and add margarine and salt. Pour over beets. Can be served hot or cold.
