Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 large potatoes
2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 stick butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
3/4 (5 oz.) can milk
Preparation

Cut up potatoes and put into a good size pot.
Pour in the 2 1/2 cups sugar and 1/2 stick of butter.
Place over medium heat and stir until thickened.
When thickened, add the canned milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring; stir in.
Let simmer over low heat, continuing to stir, until ready to serve.
