Chili-Cheesy Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. cream-style cottage cheese
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    3 (4 oz.) cans chilies, chopped and undrained
    4 c. cooked regular rice
    2 c. sour cream
    2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Microwave onion on High for 1 to 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients, except Cheddar cheese.
    Spoon half of rice mixture into a greased 2-quart casserole; top with half of cheese.
    Repeat with remaining rice mixture and cheese.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Yields 8 servings.
