Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. boiling water
2 c. raw shelled peanuts
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
1/4 Tbsp. soda
Preparation

Put sugar, syrup and boiling water in saucepan and cook until it spins a slight thread.
Fold in 2 cups of peanuts and cook until peanuts are done.
This takes about 15 or 20 minutes.
The only way you can tell if peanuts are done is by tasting them.
Stir to keep from sticking.
When peanuts are done, take up and add soda, mixing well.
Pour onto buttered baking sheet, not aluminum. Cool and break up into small pieces.
