Texas Beef Skillet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    3/4 chopped onion
    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    2 (15 oz.) cans red kidney beans
    1/2 c. quick cook rice
    1/2 chopped green pepper
    2 tsp. chili powder or to taste
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    Tabasco sauce
Preparation
    In a skillet, brown beef and drain off fat.
    Stir in undrained tomatoes, beans, uncooked rice, green pepper, chili powder, garlic and 1 1/2 cups water.
    Add Tabasco sauce to spice it up.
    Bring to boiling and simmer, covered, for 30 to 45 minutes.
    Shred 1 to 1 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese and top with it.
    Serve over corn chips.
