Date Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 pkg. dates, cut fine
    1 c. milk
    2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine sugar and milk; cook to soft ball stage (234\u00b0).
    Add the dates and allow to melt.
    Cook slightly and beat until creamy. Add 2 cups chopped nuts.
    Pour onto a damp tea towel and roll to form a 1 1/2-inch roll.
    Roll in 1 cup of nuts, cut fine.
    Allow to stand in refrigerator 2 to 3 hours.
    Cut into slices 1/2 inch thick.
