Angel Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    12 egg whites (at room temperature)
    1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Sift together flour and sugar and set aside in small bowl. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form, then add sugar and beat approximately 5 to 6 minutes until stiff peaks form. Add vanilla and salt.
    Beat for one minute.
    Gently fold in flour/sugar mixture, 1/4 cup at a time.
    Bake in ungreased angel food cake pan at 350\u00b0 for approximately 40 minutes.
    Invert pan and turn cake upside down for 1 1/2 hours, then use knife to cut around edges of pan.
    Invert onto plate upside down.
