Sweet And Pungent Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean sirloin, cut in 1-inch cubes
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 c. parboiled carrots, cut in 1-inch pieces
    1 green pepper, cut in 1-inch pieces
    1/2 c. midget gherkins (sweet pickles), drained, cut to keep 1-inch size
    1/2 c. maraschino cherries
    2 c. canned pineapple chunks, drained but save the juice
Preparation
    Saute beef cubes in hot oil until browned all over.
    Add carrots and green peppers and simmer 5 minutes.
    Add pickles, cherries and pineapple.
    Lower heat and let simmer.
