French Chicken And Broccoli Soup(Low-Fat) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. chicken (or turkey) broth, homemade or canned, fat-skimmed
    1 c. cooked chicken or turkey white meat, diced
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. broccoli, cut up, partly defrosted
    1/2 c. minced onion
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme
    1 bay leaf
    1 clove minced fresh or pinch of instant garlic (optional)
    1 c. skim milk
    2 tsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except milk and cornstarch.
    Simmer 10 minutes.
    Remove bay leaf.
    Stir milk and cornstarch together until smooth and stir into simmering soup.
    Cook and stir until bubbling.
