Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs (add one at a time)
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 c. very ripe bananas, mashed
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar; add eggs one at a time. Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda together and add alternately with buttermilk and bananas to creamed mixture.
Add lemon juice, vanilla and chopped nuts.
Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
