1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
1 c. shredded coconut
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 (13 oz.) can water (reserve half)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
pinch of salt
5 Tbsp. cornstarch
5 egg yolks (save whites for meringue)
