Lemon Sponge Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
4 eggs, separated
1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. lemon juice
1 c. milk
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Prepare pie crust for a 9-inch pie. Beat 4 egg whites until foamy.
Add 2 tablespoons sugar slowly. Beat until meringue makes soft peaks.
Set aside.
In another bowl, cream butter and remaining sugar.
Add egg yolks and flour. Beat until smooth.
Add lemon juice, grated rind and milk slowly. Beat.
Fold into meringue.
Pour into pie shell and bake 35 minutes or until top is golden brown.
