King Ranch Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (2 1/2 lb.) frying chicken
1 (6 1/4 oz.) pkg. tortilla chips
3/4 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 tsp. chili powder
1 c. milk
1 (10 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
1 (10 oz.) can Ro-Tel tomatoes, minced and drained
1/2 lb. fresh diced mushrooms
1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Cook chicken until tender in 5 or 6 cups water; drain.
Remove meat from bones and cube.
Discard skin and bones.
Crush tortilla chips and spread in a 2-quart casserole.
Add chicken.
Blend remaining ingredients except cheese.
Pour over chicken; top with cheese.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes.
