West Indies Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion
    1 lb. crab meat
    4 bay leaves
    2/3 c. vinegar
    2/3 c. Wesson oil
    Tabasco sauce to taste
    5 generous pinches salt
    substantial amount black pepper
Preparation
    Layer in bowl the onion (diced) and crab meat.
    Add bay leaves.
    Mix other ingredients together and pour over crab meat. Do not stir.
    Marinate in refrigerator at least 4 hours.
    Remove bay leaves before serving.
