Beef Stroganoff 2 - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. round steak
3 Tbsp. butter
2/3 c. water
hot, cooked rice or noodles
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1 c. sour cream
1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms
Preparation

Slice steak across the grain into thin strips.
Melt the butter in a medium sized skillet over moderate high heat.
Add beef strips and cook and stir until browned.
Reduce heat to low (moderately). Add water, onion soup mix and mushrooms. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Remove from heat.
Cool 5 to 10 minutes.
Stir in sour cream.
Serve with cooked rice.
