Kay Brandon'S Hot Cheese Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 c. drained tomatoes, chopped
    1/2 can jalapeno chili peppers, chopped
    2 tsp. salt (optional)
    1 tsp. black pepper
    2 lb. grated American cheese or Velveeta, chopped in small chunks (I use 2 lb. Velveeta)
Preparation
    Saute onions slightly in 2 tablespoons butter or margarine. Add other ingredients and cook on low until melted.
    Stir to keep from sticking to pan.
    I use my electric skillet.
    This is delicious with all kinds of chips.
