Merry Christmas Punch - cooking recipe
Ingredients

grated rind of 1 orange
grated rind of 1 lemon
2 c. water
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. almond extract
3 c. fresh orange juice, strained
1 1/2 c. fresh lemon juice, strained
3 pt. cranberry juice cocktail
1 qt. ginger ale
Preparation

Combine orange and lemon rinds, water and sugar in a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil; cook for 5 minutes.
Let cool.
Stir in almond extract and fruit juice.
Pour over ice.
Stir in ginger ale.
Yields about 1 1/4 gallons.
