Grandma Atchley'S Fried Tomato Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. tomatoes per person to be served
    sugar
    curry
    flour and milk
    salt
    pepper
    margarine
Preparation
    Cut tomatoes in large slices and dredge in flour; salt and pepper lightly.
    Place in a large frying pan with enough margarine to fry.
    Fry tomatoes until brown a few minutes and turn over. Begin to stir with a wooden spoon.
    Push aside and add more tomatoes.
    When all are soft, add milk to make a gravy.
    Let cook slowly until all tomatoes are done.
    Add sugar and more salt and pepper.
    Add a dash of curry.
    Serve over bread or plain.
