Potatoes And Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium onions
    1/2 c. oil
    1 clove garlic, minced
    4 carrots
    6 potatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 to 1 c. water
    3 hot green peppers, cut into quarters
Preparation
    Chop onions into large pieces and saute in oil with minced garlic.
    Peel and cut carrots into strips.
    Add to onions and saute for 10 minutes.
    Peel and quarter potatoes.
    Add to onions and carrots.
    Add salt, turmeric and ginger; stir well.
    Add water and cook until carrots and potatoes are easily pierced with fork (enough water to make a sauce).
    Add hot peppers and serve. (Peppers are for seasoning, but not to eat.)
