Ingredients

1 lb. cornmeal
1 egg
1 Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
pinch of soda
1 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Mix all dry ingredients; add milk.
Stir and add enough water to make stiff consistency.
Cook in deep fat at 375\u00b0.
