Fresh Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 large garlic cloves, minced
3 medium ripe tomatoes, cut into 1-inch cubes
1/4 c. dry white vermouth
1/4 c. chicken broth
2/3 c. roughly chopped fresh basil leaves
3 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
Parmesan cheese, grated
freshly ground black pepper
salt
Preparation

Melt butter or margarine in a medium, noncorrosive skillet. Add garlic and tomatoes; cook for 5 minutes, or until tomatoes are softened.
Add vermouth and cook on high heat until slightly thickened, about 4 minutes.
Add chicken broth and continue to cook on high heat for 2 minutes longer, or until sauce thickens slightly.
