Chicken A La Mary - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 12 chicken thighs or boneless chicken breast halves
    8 to 12 strips bacon
    1 pkg. thin sliced chipped beef
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    8 oz. sour cream (no-fat okay)
    2 onions, divided
    1 carrot
    1 celery stick
    1 bay leaf
    pepper and salt to taste
    1 lb. ground turkey (or beef), divided
    1/4 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 bunch parsley, chopped
    2 c. extra fine bulgur wheat, or \"cracked wheat cereal\"
Preparation
    Make 2 cups vegetable broth by boiling the carrot, 1 onion, celery, bay leaf and salt (to taste) for 15 minutes.
    Strain out the vegetables and let the broth cool.
