Okra Fritters - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. cornmeal
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
3 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
2 c. sliced fresh okra (about 2/3 lb.)
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 large egg, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. red pepper
Vegetable oil
Preparation

Combine all ingredients except okra and oil.
Add okra last. Heat oil in Dutch oven up to 350\u00b0.
Drop mixture by tablespoonfuls into hot oil, and fry until golden brown, turning once.
Drain on paper towels.
Sprinkle with more salt, if desired.
Serve hot.
