Big Sister'S Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 small can coconut
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
    5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    Cream margarine and shortening.
    Add sugar; beat until smooth. Add egg yolks; beat well.
    Combine flour and soda and add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Stir in vanilla, coconut and pecans.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until done.
