Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. packed light brown sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. margarine
    pinch of salt
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. nuts (optional)
    6 qt. popped corn
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, combine the first 5 ingredients.
    Bring to a boil; cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and add the baking soda and nuts.
    Beat down and pour over the popcorn in a large mixing pan.
    Stir until all corn is coated.
    Place corn on greased cookie sheets.
    Bake 1 hour in a 200\u00b0 oven.
    Cool on pan, then break into pieces.
