Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix
2 large cans crushed pineapple
2 cans strawberry or cherry pie filling
2 small pkg. instant vanilla pudding
2 containers cool whip
pecans and cherries to garnish

Preparation

Bake cake according to directions on package.
Mix pudding according to pkg. directions.
Break cake into pieces.
In a large glass punch bowl, layer ingredients in the order listed; repeat layers.
Decorate top with pecans and cherries.
