Baked Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 or 2 Tbsp. butter
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 c. brown or white rice (raw)
    salt, pepper and oregano to taste
    2 c. or 1 1/2 c. broth or bouillon
Preparation
    Brown onion in butter.
    Add rice and seasonings, Cook and stir to brown rice lightly.
    Add broth.
    Place in 2-quart casserole and cover.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until rice is fluffy.
    If desired add vegetables.
    Chop 1 to 2 cups vegetables such as green peppers, cabbage, celery and small amount of onions.
    Add water chestnuts if desired.
