Mile High Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 egg, beaten lightly
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Let stick of margarine soften at room temperature.
    Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, cream of tartar and salt into margarine.
    Cut in until particles are fine.
    Add egg and milk and stir until forms a ball.
    Knead lightly on floured board.
    Roll until 1-inch thick.
    Cut with glass and bake on cookie sheet at 425\u00b0 for about 20 minutes until very lightly browned.
    These can be frozen unbaked until ready to bake.
    Defrost slightly on cookie sheet before baking.
    Delicious with strawberry jam.
