Jello Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 small box strawberry jello or other flavoring
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    2 c. Cool Whip
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 to 1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Mix sugar, strawberry jello and crushed pineapple; bring to a boil.
    Cool real good (cold).
    Add Cool Whip, pecans and coconut. Pour into mold and refrigerate.
    (Can be frozen.)
    Holds up good out of refrigerator.
