Apple Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can chunk pineapple
    1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail, drain (reserve liquid)
    3 bananas, sliced
    2 apples, diced
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. instant jello pudding (vanilla or lemon)
Preparation
    Mix all fruits, except bananas, in large bowl.
    Add pudding mix to reserved juices in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil, stirring often.
    Mixture should be thick. Pour over fruits and chill.
    Add bananas just before serving.
