String Beans German Fashion - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. beans
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. stock
    1/2 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Wash; remove the strings, then cut each pod through twice lengthwise.
    Then into 2-inch lengths.
    Parboil the beans 30 minutes.
    Saute in a stew pan with the butter and seasonings. Cook until butter is absorbed, then add stock and lemon juice. Simmer until perfectly tender.
