Lauren'S Grandma'S Meringue Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    6 oz. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until stiff; continue beating and add cream of tartar, salt and sugar, a little at a time.
    Continue beating until it holds peaks.
    Fold in chocolate chips.
    Drop by teaspoons onto a greased pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes (try to lift off from the cookie sheet; if you can lift off and the cookie does not stick to the pan then it is done).
