Squash Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients
- 
                            6 c. sliced squash
 
2 c. sliced onions
1 c. sliced bell pepper
3 c. sugar
2 c. vinegar
2 tsp. mustard seed
2 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
- 
                            Place squash, onions and pepper in layers.
 
Salt as if for cooking.
Let stand 1 hour, then drain.
Heat other ingredients and pour over squash.
Bring to a boil. Seal in hot jars.
