Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
5 c. flour
3 Tbsp. sugar
5 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in water.
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Mix well.
Add shortening and blend into dry ingredients until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Combine baking soda and buttermilk and stir into flour mixture.
Stir in dissolved yeast and mix well.
Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight or at least several hours.
