Okra Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. sliced okra
    4 green onions (white and green parts chopped fine)
    2 ribs celery, chopped fine
    1/2 bell pepper, chopped fine
    1/2 c. crabmeat
    1 pt. oysters
    1 lb. shrimp
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 c. roux
Preparation
    Cook okra until there is no more slime (1 tablespoon of vinegar helps).
    Add 1/2 cup roux.
    Saute chopped vegetables and add to okra.
    Add 2 to 3 quarts water and simmer for 1 or 2 hours.
    Add salt, pepper and red pepper to taste.
    Add seafood and cook 30 to 45 minutes more.
