Cheesy Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
    1/3 c. onion, chopped
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1/3 c. carrot, chopped
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    8 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. instant bouillon granules (chicken)
    4 c. shredded American cheese
    4 c. chopped ham
Preparation
    In a large pan, combine potatoes with enough water to cover. Bring to boil and cook, covered, for about 12 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
    Drain off water.
