Egg Custard - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 large eggs, beaten slightly
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. milk, scalded
nutmeg
Preparation

Preheat oven to 415\u00b0.
Mix eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla. Pour into scalded milk and stir well.
Pour into unbaked pie shell and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake about 20 minutes longer or until custard is set.
Test with a knife an inch or so from the center of the pie.
