Bean And Macaroni Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. corn oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 large clove garlic, chopped
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 (15 oz. each) cans kidney beans or 3 c. red beans
    1 Tbsp. minced parsley
    2 Tbsp. green onion, chopped
    4 c. liquid (bean liquid and water)
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 c. cooked small macaroni, cook 8 minutes
    2 Tbsp. imitation bacon chips or crisp bacon pieces
Preparation
    In oil saute onion, pepper and garlic 5 minutes.
    Add tomato sauce.
    Simmer 30 minutes.
    Add a little water as needed.
    Stir frequently.
    Add drained beans, parsley, green onion and liquid (bean and water).
    Season to taste.
    Cook for 10 minutes.
    Stir in cooked macaroni and simmer 5 more minutes.
    (Cook macaroni about 8 minutes.)
    Sprinkle with bacon.
    Serves 6.
