Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. white flour
    2 c. whole wheat flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 egg
    2 c. sour milk (add 3 to 4 Tbsp. vinegar to milk)
    3/4 c. dark molasses
    1 to 2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cut shortening into dry ingredients.
    Add remaining ingredients; beat thoroughly.
    Pour into 2 bread pans (9 x 5-inch).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
