Hungarian Pastry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour (plain)
    2 sticks oleo
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Blend dry ingredients together; cut in margarine.
    Beat eggs and add vanilla; add to dry mixture and blend well.
    Form ball and cut in
    half.
    Pat\thalf
    into long cake pan and roll out second half
    and cut into strips to make woven top.
    Dough handles better when
    slightly
    cooled.
    (You may use 2 cans of prepared pie filling
    or
    your
    favorite
    recipe for the fruit filling.) Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
