Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sugar
4 c. cider vinegar
1/2 c. pickling salt
1 1/3 tsp. celery seed
1 1/3 tsp. turmeric powder
1 1/3 tsp. mustard seed
3 onions, sliced thin
Preparation

Slice cucumbers and layer with sliced onions in glass jars. Prepare mixture of remaining ingredients and pour over cold; do not cook or boil anything.
Cover and refrigerate for 5 days. Pickles will then be ready to use.
Keep in fridge.
