Batter Buns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. warm water
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. soft margarine or shortening
    2 1/4 c. flour
Preparation
    Measure warm water into large warm bowl.
    Sprinkle in yeast; stir until dissolved.
    Stir in sugar, half of flour and salt.
    Beat with spoon until smooth.
    Scrape down sides of bowl; cover.
    Let rise in warm place free from draft until double in bulk (about 20 minutes).
    Stir down dough.
    Spoon into 12 large greased muffin cups, filling each half full.
    Again, let rise until dough reaches tops of muffin cups (20 to 30 minutes).
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Makes 12 buns or more, depending on size of muffin cups. Very easy and quick.
