Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 qt. popped popcorn
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white syrup
    2 sticks margarine
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cook over high heat to hard crack stage (290\u00b0 or 300\u00b0 on candy thermometer).
    Remove from heat and add 1 (1 gram) bottle of oil flavoring and desired food coloring.
    Stir only enough to mix well.
    Too much stirring will cause candy to turn to sugar.
