Oven Barbecued Hawaiian Chicken - cooking recipe

1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple in unsweetened juice
1/3 c. chili sauce
1/4 c. apricot preserves
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. cornstarch
4 to 6 boneless chicken breasts

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0. In a small bowl, combine crushed pineapple with its juice, chili sauce, apricot preserves, brown sugar, soy sauce and cornstarch. Mix well. Arrange chicken breasts in 8 x 8 or 9 x 13 pan (either lined with foil or sprayed with oil). Spoon pineapple mixture over chicken. Bake chicken 45 to 50 minutes, basting occasionally with pan drippings, until juices run clear when chicken is pierced with a fork.
