Crisp Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. cucumbers, thinly sliced
    2 onions, sliced
    1/4 c. pickling salt
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    2 c. cider vinegar
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Cover the cucumber slices, onions and pickling salt with ice cubes.
    Mix and let stand 3 hours.
    Drain.
    Combine rest of the ingredients and pour over cucumber mixture.
    Heat just to a boil. Seal in sterilized jars. Makes 6 pints.
