Cherry Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can red sour pitted cherries
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    4 canned biscuits
Preparation
    Combine sugar and cornstarch in a medium size frying pan with a tight fitting lid.
    Gradually add juice drained from can of cherries; add a few drops red food coloring.
    Cook until thick and clear, stirring constantly.
    Add cherries; heat to bubbling hot. Remove 4 biscuits from can and place on top of cherries; simmer, tightly covered for 15 minutes.
    Serve warm with cream or vanilla ice cream.
