Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    6 egg yolks, beaten
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    4 c. chilled half and half
Preparation
    Mix sugar, salt, milk and egg yolks in saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, just until bubbles appear around edges of pan.
    Cool to room temperature.
    Stir in vanilla and cream.
    Pour in freezer can and place dasher in place.
    Freeze following directions with freezer.
